The University of Anbar Centre for Strategic Studies , in collaboration with New York University (USA), the Colleges of Law and Political Science at the University of Anbar, and Al-Maarif University (Iraq), is convening the First International Scientific Conference titled: “Peace Studies Contribution in Stability of the Reagin (The Middle East)”. The significance of this conference lies in the fact that the Middle East continues to face deep-rooted conflicts, persistent political unrest, and profound social fragmentation. This conference comes at a critical and timely moment, serving as a necessary platform to rethink the pathways toward achieving sustainable peace in the region. Despite decades of diplomatic efforts, the underlying causes of instability remain largely unaddressed, underscoring the need for fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to peacebuilding.

Peace studies—encompassing disciplines such as law, political science, security studies, Islamic jurisprudence, education, and sociology—offer valuable yet underutilised tools for developing locally grounded and sustainable strategies for conflict resolution and reconciliation. This conference invites researchers, policymakers, religious leaders, and civil society representatives to contribute to scholarly discussions and research that will enrich the dialogue and academic sessions. The objective is to formulate practical and evidence-based frameworks, grounded in institutional academic research, to advance stability and sustainable peace. By participating, attendees will help shape actionable solutions that have the potential to make a tangible impact in building a more peaceful and stable Middle East. In doing so, the conference will serve as an academically rigorous and internationally aligned platform for advancing peace and stability in the Middle East.

The vision:
Advancing sustainable societies grounded in justice, enriched through meaningful dialogue, and unified by a steadfast commitment to peaceful coexistence.”

The Message:
This conference aspires to foster a comprehensive understanding of peacebuilding mechanisms and their vital role in achieving social stability.
